Today the San Francisco Board of Supervisors unanimously passed a resolution to allow the Caltrain Joint Powers Board to put a ⅛ cent sales tax measure on the November ballot to fund Caltrain operations and capital improvements. 

The Transportation Authority board allocated funding to SF Public Works for the Buchanan Mall Bulbouts Project which aims to reduce pedestrian crossing distances and increase visibility of pedestrians. Later on, SF Public Works will also renovate the entire Buchanan Mall 5-block park which is located in Western Addition.

SFMTA Director Jeffrey Tumlin presented the agency’s Transportation Recovery Plan at our board recently. The plan seeks to strategically increase transit service to respond to crowding and public feedback, and install permanent and temporary infrastructure to best serve riders given constrained resources and to minimize health risks.
