Updates on Regional Transportation Revenue Measure and Muni Parcel Tax
SB 63, known as the "Connect Bay Area Act," authorizes a multi-county regional transportation funding measure that would support transit operations subject to voter approval at the November 2026 election. To generate additional funding to support Muni service, San Francisco officials and SFTMA staff are also proposing a parcel tax intended to prevent any service cuts to Muni.

Transportation Authority Board Approves District 4 Community Shuttle Study Final Report
The study builds on the District 4 Mobility Study and was requested by former District 4 Transportation Authority Board member Gordon Mar to look at whether an on-demand shuttle could improve access for residents to local destinations and reduce driving trips in the Outer Sunset and Parkside neighborhoods.

Transportation Authority Board Approves $1.5 Million for Muni Forward Quick-Build Improvements
This project will implement quick-builds for the next generation of Muni Forward corridor projects to support the Five-Minute Network. Improvements will include a variety of Muni reliability, speed, and safety enhancements, including stop spacing adjustments, signal retiming and transit signal priority, turn restrictions, and curb changes.

Our board voted to allocate $582,500 in half-cent sales tax funds to SFMTA through our Prop L Neighborhood Program for traffic calming and street safety enhancements throughout District 5.

The study will address transportation safety, access, and circulation challenges and gaps focused around Equity Priority Communities in the Mission Street corridor between San Jose and Silver Avenues in the Outer Mission, Balboa Park, Crocker-Amazon, and Excelsior neighborhoods.

Lake Merced Quick-Build Project Reaches Completion
SFMTA has completed the Lake Merced Quick-Build Project, which aims to improve pedestrian and bicyclist safety and traffic. The Transportation Authority supported this project with $1.38 million in funding from our sales tax, vehicle registration fees, and TNC tax funds.
