Bay Area transit service providers are welcoming riders back with increased service and fare discounts as San Francisco reopens.

The SFMTA will study how to improve bike safety and access to and within Lake Merced Park.

To provide better visibility and improved safety for all road users, we contributed almost $1.5 million in funding from the half-cent sales tax for transportation, as well as other funding sources to upgrade new traffic signal infrastructure along Arguello Boulevard.

This SFMTA- led project includes roadway and public space improvements to enhance pedestrian safety, improve access to transit stops, reduce both intersection crossing distances and traffic speeds, and provide new community gathering areas.
