Our board approved funding to support two projects in the Western Addition to upgrade traffic signals at 16 locations and improve pedestrian safety at Buchanan Mall.

Over the past year, there has been a surge of violent attacks against Asian Americans in the Bay Area and across the nation. We stand with our AAPI community and many community leaders and colleagues across the city in calling for an end to racial violence.

In approximately two years, private vehicles driving to or from Treasure Island will pay a toll. Treasure Island residents are exempted from the toll and are invited to attend a community meeting on April 3 to share feedback about how they prefer to receive their exemption.

The Buchanan Mall Bulb-outs project will enhance safety and connectivity for people walking to the Buchanan mall and surrounding neighborhood by implementing improvements at two intersections, as evaluated and recommended in the Western Addition Community Based Transportation Plan.
