- Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Location: 39 Bruton Street, in front of the Isle House Apartments
- RSVP: Event is open to all, registration is encouraged
Project Background
The Treasure Island Transportation Program will address the island's growing transportation needs with a goal of having at least 50 percent of trips made by walking, biking, and taking transit instead of private vehicles.
Treasure Island Bike Share
As part of the Treasure Island Transportation Program, the Treasure Island Mobility Management Agency is working to deliver a suite of sustainable transit services. Bike share is one of several services to become available on Treasure Island. Seven new Lyft Bike stations with 35 electric bikes will give residents and visitors a new way to get around the islands. The stations are at these locations:
- Ferry terminal (two stations)
- Cityside Park
- Island Cove Market and Community Center
- Treasure Island Playground and Athletic Fields
- Gateview Avenue between Northpoint Drive and Gateview Court
- Panorama Park
Treasure Island Ferry Terminal Enhancements Project
The Treasure Island Ferry Terminal Enhancements Project built new transit shelters and public restrooms at the terminal. The terminal connects ferry and bus service to San Francisco, island shuttles, and walking and biking paths to the Bay Bridge’s east span. The project was funded with $3 million in funding from a Federal Highway Administration grant and $1.6 million in funding from the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities grant program.
