We’re preparing to pilot an autonomous vehicle shuttle service on Treasure Island to better understand how an on-island shuttle could meet the needs of people traveling around the neighborhood and to provide the community with opportunities to learn about autonomous vehicles.

The AV shuttle will operate for nine months and provide free rides along a fixed route on Treasure Island. We’re in the process of selecting a technology partner who will provide the shuttle and who will work with us during the pilot, which is planned to start in Spring 2023.

We are seeking input from Treasure Island residents and businesses on when and where the shuttle should operate and other service features. We also want to hear any concerns or desires you may have for the AV shuttle pilot. If you are a Treasure Island resident or business, please take our brief survey. The survey will close on October 31.
