Last month, a new bus boarding island and bikeway barriers were completed as part of the Alemany Boulevard Quick-Build Project. The 14X Mission Express and 67 Bernal Heights serve the area.
The project extends from Ellsworth Street to Justin Drive/Congdon Street, in District 11, and was funded with $500,000 in Prop D TNC tax and Prop K transportation sales tax funds.
The improvements will enhance safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers through a road diet, protected bikeway, and improved transit access. As part of the Vision Zero High Injury Network, this project will undergo additional refinements to reduce vehicle speeds and enhance accessibility.
