Lincoln Way Traffic Signals

Introduction

This project will implement new traffic signals at the intersections of 45th Avenue/Lincoln Way and La Playa Street/Lincoln Way to improve right-of-way allocation, enhance traffic, pedestrian, and bicycle safety, and reduce vehicle and transit delays. The project is in response to anticipated changes from the passage of Proposition K, which will restrict vehicle access to the Upper Great Highway. Improvements include upgraded signal infrastructure, pedestrian countdown and accessible signals, and associated upgrades such as curb ramps, streetlighting, and fire hydrant relocation.
