Thank you to everyone who participated in our summer outreach events focused on toll policies for Treasure Island businesses and workers. We’ve revised the proposals based on your feedback.
Please come to our outreach event to learn about our revised toll policy proposal for Treasure Island businesses and workers. At this outreach event, we’ll answer your questions and take your comments.
The toll policy, expected to go into effect in 2024, has the following elements:
- Applies to all existing not-for-profit entities and existing food distribution & food service establishments
- Employers are provided a quarterly subsidy based on number of employees
- Employer should prioritize compensation for low-income employees
- Remaining balance may be used to compensate deliveries, vendors, visitors, and/or customers
- Employer may use the subsidy to add to a toll tag (FasTrak) balance or as cash payment
- TIMMA will evaluate and adjust the program after 12 months in consultation with eligible employers
