On November 6, the Business Outreach Committee (BOC), a consortium of transportation agencies including the Transportation Authority, hosted a free 'meet the primes' networking event at the Joseph P. Bort MetroCenter (101 8th Street in Oakland). This event was a great opportunity for firms to market their products and services to BOC agencies and prime firms in the areas of construction, professional services, architecture, engineering and others. Firms also received valuable information on Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration, California Department of General Services, and DBE Supportive Services - Northern Region.
