construction workers building a curb ramp

District 8 residents can now enjoy smoother streets following SF Public Works’ completion of the Clayton St, Clipper St, and Portola Dr Pavement Renovation Project in Noe Valley near Twin Peaks and Glen Canyon Park.

SF Public Works renovated 24 blocks by repaving the street, adding 66 new curb ramps, and implementing sidewalk and curb repairs. Underground, the agency also conducted roadway base repair, sewer replacement, and water main installation.

The SFMTA supported the project by directing traffic and monitoring the local electric trolley and light rail system during construction.

The Transportation Authority provided funding for this project from San Francisco’s half cent sales tax.
