AGENDA FINANCE COMMITTEEMeeting Notice
Date: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2010
1. Roll Call 2. Approval of Minutes of the March 9, 2010 Meeting - ACTION* attachment 3. Recommend Amendment of the Adopted Fiscal Year 2009/10 Budget to Increase Revenues by $25,401,906, Decrease Expenses by $24,905,600 and Decrease Other Financing Sources by $99,430,000 for a Total Net Decrease in Fund Balance of $49,122,494 - ACTION* attachment Every year between December and April, we typically present the Board adjustments to the annual budget adopted the previous June. The mid-year revision is an opportunity to take stock of changes in revenue trends, recognize grants or other funds that are obtained subsequent to the original approval of the annual budget, and adjust for unforeseen expenses. In June 2009, through Resolution 09-71, the Authority adopted the FY 2009/10 Annual Budget and Work Program. Revenue and expense figures pertaining to several capital projects need to be updated from the original estimates contained in the adopted FY 2009/10 Budget. The Authority's Fiscal Policy allows for the amendment of the adopted budget during the FY to reflect actual revenues and expenditures incurred. We are seeking a recommendation to amend the Adopted FY 2009/10 Budget to increase revenues by $25,401,906, decrease expenses by $24,905,600 and decrease other financing sources by $99,430,000 for a total net decrease in fund balance of $49,122,494. 4. Recommend Authorization for the Executive Director to Execute a Memorandum of Agreement with the National Park Service for an 18-Month Period, in an Amount Not to Exceed $177,890, for Liaison Services for the Presidio Parkway Project - ACTION* attachment The Authority entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the National Park Service (NPS) in 2007 to fund a position for a project liaison to serve as the single point of contact for NPS through the design phase of the Doyle Drive Replacement Project, now re-envisioned as Presidio Parkway. The term of that agreement ended on March 31, 2010. The continued presence of the liaison is expected to facilitate oversight of project activities to ensure protection of park resources, communication and the prompt identification and resolution of project issues. We are seeking a recommendation to authorize the Executive Director to execute a MOA with the NPS for an 18-month period, in an amount not to exceed $177,890, for liaison services for the Presidio Parkway Project. 5.
