Strategic Analysis Report | Now in review phase

The Shuttles Strategic Analysis Report (SAR) is investigating the attributes and nature of shuttle services within San Francisco. The purpose of this report is to address the following questions over the next few months:

• Who are the users, and who are the providers?
• What are the benefits and impacts of shuttles?
• Is there a need for regulation of shuttle operations as these services continue to grow?
  
  

Data collection for this report included interviews with and surveys of riders, employers and operators; field observations; interviews with other public agencies, and collection of third party data as necessary. The study team also conducted neighborhood outreach to areas that are being serviced by these shuttles to hear their input.

The draft report is currently undergoing public review and comment. Authority staff presented the draft report at both the November 17, 2009 Plans and Programs Committee and the December 9, 2009 Citizens Advisory Committee meetings. The final report will be presented to the Authority Board for approval in March 2010.
