Role of the Geary BRT Citizens Advisory Committee

The GCAC meets on a bi-monthly basis to advise the project team during the environmental analysis.

The GCAC will provide input in refining Geary BRT alternatives; reviewing project benefits and impacts; identifying mitigation strategies; and selecting a preferred alternative.

Appointment to the GCAC

The GCAC consists of 11 members, representing corridor and at-large interests.  On February 12, 2008, the Authority Board adopted the structure and process for appointment of the GCAC for the environmental phase of the project (view Board meeting agenda).

The application period for the GCAC is now closed.  On April 15, 2008, the Authority Board appointed the full GCAC (view Board meeting agenda).  A new call for applicants will be released if GCAC vacancies occur during the environmental study.
