Transportation Planner - Policy & Programming

Description:

Transportation Planner - Policy & Programming is the intermediate journey level in the series.  Under the general supervision of the Chief Deputy Director for Policy & Programming, the Transportation Planner assists with fund programming and project delivery oversight, participates in planning studies, monitors and performs research related to legislation, and represents the Authority on technical and policy advisory groups.

Requirements:

Completion of a graduate degree in an appropriate discipline such as transportation planning or civil engineering; and one year of experience in transportation planning, programming or funding allocation.

Annual Compensation Range:

$64,180 – $86,650 (Dependent On Experience), plus excellent benefits.

Salary is effectively higher since the Authority offers employer contribution to a retirement plan
in lieu of Social Security.      
In addition, the Authority offers a generous cafeteria-style benefits package, elements of which include, but are not limited to:
♦ Retirement - 16% employer contribution
♦ Insurance - Health, Dental, Life, & Long-term Disability, (medical and dependent care reimbursement accounts.)
♦ Deferred Compensation (Section 457)
♦ Vacation - 15 days for the first 5 years of service
♦ Holidays - 11 holidays per year, plus 3 personal holidays  
♦ Up to $110 per month in Commuter Checks.
