Principal Transportation Planner - Policy & Programming

Description:

The Principal Transportation Planner is the advanced level of the Transportation Planner Series - Policy & Programming Division. With nominal supervision from the Deputy Director, the Principal Transportation Planner is responsible for assignments that are highly complex and sensitive in nature, where substantial judgment and initiative are essential in making recommendations and developing policies.

Requirements:

Completion of a graduate degree in an appropriate discipline such as transportation planning or civil engineering; and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in transportation planning, transportation fund programming or allocation.

Annual Compensation Range:

$84,880 – $114,590 (Dependent On Experience), plus excellent benefits.

Salary is effectively higher since the Authority offers employer contribution to a retirement plan
in lieu of Social Security.      
In addition, the Authority offers a generous cafeteria-style benefits package, elements of which include, but are not limited to:
♦ Retirement - 16% employer contribution
♦ Insurance - Health, Dental, Life, & Long-term Disability, (medical and dependent care reimbursement accounts.)
♦ Deferred Compensation (Section 457)
♦ Vacation - 15 days for the first 5 years of service
♦ Holidays - 11 holidays per year, plus 3 personal holidays  
♦ Up to $110 per month in Commuter Checks.
