Update on the BART Seismic Program – INFORMATION In November 2004, the electorate in the three Bay Area BART counties, San Francisco, Alameda and Contra Costa, approved a seismic retrofit bond measure that provides $980 million to defray the cost of strengthening vital infrastructure to ensure thatregional transit connectivity remains viable after a future, credible magnitude earthquake. At the Board meeting, BART staff will be providing an update on the status and progress of the seismic rehabilitation program since the approval of the bond. Other Items 11.
