10. Update on the BART Seismic Program – INFORMATION

In November 2004, the electorate in the three Bay Area BART counties, San Francisco, Alameda and Contra Costa, approved a seismic retrofit bond measure that provides $980 million to defray the cost of strengthening vital infrastructure to ensure thatregional transit connectivity remains viable after a future, credible magnitude earthquake. At the Board meeting, BART staff will be providing an update on the status and progress of the seismic rehabilitation program since the approval of the bond.
