Deputy Director For Capital Projects

(Open until an adequate pool of qualified candidates is assembled)

Description:

Under general direction of the Executive Director, directs the oversight of delivery of the Authority's Program of Projects, and manages delivery of select capital projects for which the Authority has direct delivery responsibilities, with activities ranging from the environmental phase through design and construction of the project.

Requirements:

Completion of a graduate degree in Transportation Planning or Civil or Transportation Engineering or related field, and a State of California professional engineering license is required. Eight to ten years of progressively responsible experience in transportation project and program management required, with at least four years in a management role. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Annual Compensation Range:

$123,825-$179.550 (Dependent On Experience), plus excellent benefits.

Salary is effectively higher since the Authority offers employer contribution to a retirement plan
in lieu of Social Security.      
In addition, the Authority offers a generous cafeteria-style benefits package, elements of which include, but are not limited to:
♦ Retirement - 16% employer contribution
♦ Insurance - Health, Dental, Life, & Long-term Disability, (medical and dependent care reimbursement accounts.)
♦ Deferred Compensation (Section 457)
♦ Vacation - 15 days for the first 5 years of service
♦ Holidays - 11 holidays per year, plus 3 personal holidays
