The San Francisco County Transportation Authority is seeking a self-motivated and highly organized Clerk of the Board who will be responsible for the overall coordination and performance of the Board of Commissioners and Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) support activities.
Under direction of the Executive Director or her designee, this person serves as Clerk of the Board and acts as an Executive Assistant, assisting the Executive Director with the conduct and scheduling of Board and Committee meetings, preparation of Board packet materials, liaison activities with Board staff, assist with management of the Executive Director’s schedule and travel arrangements, and administrative matters involving sensitive and confidential information.
The Transportation Authority is the sub-regional transportation planning and programming agency for San Francisco County, and plans, funds, and delivers projects in that capacity. The 11-member Board, advised by the CAC, establishes and administers policies for the Transportation Authority, allocates funds, approves plans, provides oversight of projects funded by the agency, etc. A vital position in the organization, the successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic environment.

ANNUAL COMPENSATION RANGE
$67,584–$91,236. Salary dependent on experience, plus excellent benefits.
Salary is effectively higher since the Transportation Authority offers an employer contribution to a retirement plan in lieu of Social Security.
In addition, the Transportation Authority offers a generous cafeteria-style benefits package, elements of which include, but are not limited to:
- Retirement: Up to 8.88% employer contribution.
- Insurance: Health, dental, life, short-term and long-term disability. Medical and dependent care pre-tax reimbursement accounts.
- Deferred Compensation Supplemental Plan (Section 457): Up to $24,000 employee contribution.
- Vacation: Three (3) weeks of vacation per year during the first five (5) years of service.
- Holidays: 11 holidays per year, plus 3 floating holidays.
- Commute Assistance: Up to $130 per month in Commuter Checks or a $20 per month bike benefit.
